The Wretched End began as a collaboration between Mindgrinder/Windir guitarist-vocalist Cosmo and Emperor/Zyklon guitarist Samoth in 2008. The band released their debut, Ominous via Nocturnal Art Productions/Candlelight Records in 2010. The album received worldwide praise; voted as one of the best albums of the year. The album was followed with their second album, Inroads, in 2012.
