YomaBarr Never a massive fan of Emperor but this is something else. This guitar tone is trance inducing, and it's not a nice soothing trance by any means. Worms eat into my brain.

teeroycee I thought Zyklon was awesome! The Wretched End are the shit!

Anders M. Nordli Anything Einar Solberg of Leprous is doing ... or has done, is of interest. On a lighter note I already knew about The Wretched End, but I don't think I've ever heard anything by them before.

This is good stuff though, and will be in my rotation for a while to come for certain.

PS: Only the last song features Einar Solberg, but it's worth mentioning that Old Norwegian Soul features Attila from Mayhem too I think. Another brilliant singer and band. Favorite track: Dewy Fields.

coldblackmoon This is just ultimate badassery and I will always hold a special place in my heart for my first true love, Emperor. A great project of Samoth's... Favorite track: Old Norwegian Soul.

about

Due to Samoth’s extensive involvement with the assemblage of Emperor’s 20th Anniversary headliner shows for their pivotal album In the Nightside Eclipse, the recording process of the new album has been a longer journey than originally intended. “It’s great to finally have this album ready for release,” comments Samoth.
